Lean Process Specialist

Assist in planning Lean events including developing participant lists, schedule events and plan logistics.
Participates in defining metrics required for the lean event.
Trains participants to collect metrics and develops metrics reporting format.
Assists in facilitation of Lean Kaizen events including acting as group facilitator.
Support Kaizen Owner to implement action items.
Creates and maintains SharePoint site.
Trains and supports:
Standard Work, 5S plans, Action plans.
Ensures that process flow diagrams are recorded in Visio, validated and added to SharePoint.
Provides support for 5S training activities in the Distribution Center.
Assist with special reviews, projects or acquisitions as assigned or as required.
Uses Industrial Engineering background/capabilities to define and implement work methods and procedures, work area layouts, and DC production work-streams that drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost across the DC.
Identifies and recommends material handling equipment and fixture that promote safety and efficiency and leads capital good procurement process in support of these recommendations. Assists in annual capital budgeting process, provides ROI analysis and prepares capital expense requests, and manages or assists with relevant capital project implementations
Ensures the process flow diagrams are updated, validated and recorded. Recognizes critical problem areas and potential consequences and seeks appropriate guidance to find alternate solutions.
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.
Consistently seeks feedback and guidance from others in order to develop a more thorough understanding of processes and productivity.
Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard designs, methods, techniques, materials and other advances in engineering technology to increase distribution efficiency.
Assignments are well defined.
Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures.
Good communication skills
Facilitate training sessions, continuous improvement sessions and Kaizen events
Support Kaizen Owner to implement action items.
Prefer distribution center experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering and 3 or more years of business experience related to customer service, product development, or accounting process or equivalent achieved through work experience.
A minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Excel utilizing chart and graphic capability.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with highly detailed information.
Strong systems aptitude.
Experience supporting Lean and Kaizen training.
