DSPs aid in areas including, but not limited to:
Community engagement and socialization, Personal hygiene, Routine housekeeping tasks, Administration of medications, Money management, Nutrition, grocery shopping, and cooking, Attending medical appointments, Proper use of appliances and adaptive/assistive devices, Home safety, first aid, and emergency procedures Our DSPs are an integral part of the individuals' lives through the implementation of a person-centered individualized plan that enables those we serve to participate in thriving and vibrant communities.
Additional expectations include the ability to complete all required written documentation and supporting reports of services provided; Manage a variable work schedule with good attendance and punctuality; Complete ongoing in-service and other educational training.
SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing overall support to individuals who are intellectually and/or developmentally disabled in accordance with their Person-Centered Individualized Plan (PCISP).
Services may be rendered in a facility, the community, personal residence, family home, or place of employment.
Direct Support Professionals will provide engaged supports that enable those served to live, work, play, and learn in ways that are most meaningful to them while promoting independence and individual choice.
All services are to be delivered in such a manner that meets all federal, state, local, and accrediting entity regulatory requirements as well as Lirio policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass background checks.
Must have a valid driver's license, a working vehicle, personal vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record.
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours (as required) to meet individual needs (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Excellent work and personal references required.
No experience required.
Salary:
$15.
00-$16.
50 per hour Weekend Premium:
Staff will receive a $1.
00 increase to their hourly rate of pay.
Midnight Premium:
Staff will receive a $1.
50 increase to their hourly rate of pay.
